Photography has been part of my life since I was a teenager, but I think my love for capturing everyday life began long before that.

Growing up in a little town in Germany, I spent many weekends on my grandparents' dairy farm. Some of my fondest memories are of my grandma feeding poddy calves from a bucket and my grandpa out on his old John Deere tractor. They were simple, everyday moments, but they're the ones I wish I could step back into for a little while.

Today, I'm lucky enough to be living that country life myself with my husband and our two beautiful, farm-loving girls here in the Goulburn Valley. Watching my girls feed poddy calves, just as I did growing up, is a special reminder of how life has come full circle.

Having my own children has made me realise just how quickly the years fly by. Looking back at photos of my girls from only a few years ago takes me right back to those moments, reminding me how they felt and all the little details I might otherwise forget.

That's what I love most about photography — being able to hold onto the everyday moments and revisit them long after they've passed.
